Executive summary

You will learn what Claude is, how it differs from ChatGPT, and how to use its three surfaces (browser, desktop, Cowork) for real work. End state is a working Claude setup on your own machine and your first completed task with it. After this module you can pick the right plan, write a useful prompt, iterate on results, and delegate a first multi-step task to Cowork.

Learning objectives

By the end, participants can:

  1. Explain what Claude is and how it differs from ChatGPT
  2. Pick the right plan (Free, Pro, Max) for their needs
  3. Tell the three surfaces apart (browser chat, desktop app, Cowork) and know when to use each
  4. Write a first useful prompt and iterate on the result
  5. Name the three concepts that explain most beginner frustration (next-word prediction, sycophancy, tokens)
