Learning objectives
By the end, participants can:
- Describe the Graph grounding that lets Copilot in the apps see mail, meetings and files, and its limit (web data for every tier; Microsoft Graph and Work IQ organisational data only with the Microsoft 365 Copilot (Premium) add-on, with Work IQ switchable on or off)
- Use Copilot in Outlook to summarise a thread and draft a reply, and in Teams to recap a meeting within up to 30 days
- Draft in Word from referenced files, analyse a table in Excel, and build a deck from a document in PowerPoint
- Apply a trust-and-verify rule per app: what to accept, what to spot-check, what never to forward unread
What's in this module
7 lessons · 5 exercises · ~7 min reading
Starts withWhat makes it different~1 minExecutive summary
You will learn what Copilot actually does inside Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, why the Graph grounding behind it makes it different from any standalone chat, and where each app's output is trustworthy and where it is not. End state is one real deliverable produced in each of three apps from your own files, with the parts you verified marked. After this module you can pick the app whose Copilot fits the task, reference the right files, read a Teams recap critically, and say out loud which numbers you checked before you sent them.
