Learning objectives
By the end, participants can:
- Explain the difference between Saved info, memory of past chats, and a Gem, and which account types get each
- Write standing context that changes behaviour, and cut everything that does not
- Build a Gem using the four parts Google recommends (Persona, Task, Context, Format)
- Attach files to a Gem and know when a file belongs in the Gem rather than the prompt
- Share a Gem with the right access level and know the restrictions (Viewer or Editor access, to named people or by link; Gems live in Drive, so Workspace sharing policy applies, and a Gem with non-Drive files uploaded cannot be shared)
- Build a personal about-me and style Gem that carries their voice into every chat

You will learn how to stop re-typing who you are and what you want: standing context through Saved info, and repeatable tasks through Gems you build once and use every week. End state is an about-me and style Gem that makes every chat start from your situation, plus one working Gem for a task you repeat, shared with a colleague who can use it blind. After this module you can decide what belongs in Saved info, what belongs in a Gem, and what belongs in neither, write Gem instructions in Google's four-part shape, attach the right files, and share a Gem without leaking what should not travel.
